Solar Grid Tied Inverter

    Rating
  • 10kW to 100kW

Overview
Like all inverters, a solar grid tied or grid-interactive inverter converts the direct current (DC) power from your renewable energy source into the alternating current (AC) used for domestic and commercial use. These inverters are intended specifically for grid tied applications where they will be tied into the utility grid. They are commonly also called as solar hybrid inverters. While it is possible to completely eliminate your utility bill with a solar grid tied system, many business owners use grid tied systems to supplement their usage by using a combination of both their utility grid and their solar array (ie. 70% solar, 30% utility grid). A solar grid tied inverter can also offset 100% of your energy needs.

One of the major benefits of a solar grid tied inverter is net metering, where unused energy is fed back into the utility grid. When no power is being generated by the renewable energy system, the home's power is drawn from the utility grid. The energy the homeowner pays for is the difference between the power drawn from the grid and the power fed into the grid. Most grid-tie inverters cannot be used independently of the utility grid.

The solar inverter comes with the choice of charging of batteries by both solar as well as mains utility (Hybrid Solar Inverter), with automatic change over from mains to battery and from battery to mains like a regular inverter. It employs an inverter circuitry, two-level battery charging from mains, solar charge controller ie. MPPT and fast change over mechanism during power failure and resumption.

Enertech manufacturers’ solar hybrid inverter in Pune, India that has an overall efficiency of more than 90%. The single phase solar hybrid inverter is manufactured in the range of
1kW to 20 Kilowatts.
The three phase solar hybrid inverter manufactured in the range of 10 Kilowatts to 100 Kilowatts.

  • Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) design.
  • PWM technology mains grid charger & inverter
  • Power quality audit through software
  • Scheduled shutdown
  • Digital & graphical representation of parameters
  • SMS & e-mail alerts
  • Pure sine wave output with low total harmonic distortion (THD)
  • High efficiency & high reliability
  • Pulse by pulse current limiting with auto-reset resulting in efficient overload and short circuit protection.
  • Battery pole reversal protection & battery deep discharge protection.
  • Noiseless in operation
  • When solar energy is sufficient then output of MPPT charger is given both to batteries & inverter, the output of inverter will give AC voltage to load.
  • When solar energy is weak then inverter is taking the possible DC source from solar in combination with batteries.
  • If batteries have low a voltage condition then load is shifted to mains grid & batteries are charging on solar output.
  • If solar energy is not sufficient to charge the batteries the mains grid charger will be active & DC voltage is given to batteries in combination with solar energy.
  • Once batteries are fully charged then load is automatically shifted to inverter & inverter is operating on solar & batteries.
  • If the load is switched off then all the generated power is fed back to the mains grid in sync with its waveform.
