Features of Solar Chargers :

The Solar Charger shall be solid-state MOSFET based design, high efficiency series regulation and with two stage charging technique.

It shall be designed for the relevant solar array with two-stage protection against transient surge through Metal Oxide Varistors.

Blocking diode shall be provided to prevent discharge of battery through solar modules, during night.

Protection shall be provided against over charging and deep discharge of the batteries. Built-in cable drop and temperature compensation shall be provided.

Specifications of Solar Chargers :

An appropriate electronic inverter with associated control and protection devices shall be used to convert the Direct Current (DC) electricity, produced by the SPV modules into Alternating Current (AC) electricity and thus provide the required voltage levels for powering the load devices designed for conventional AC supply of the mains.

The inverter shall continuously monitor and control the AC output interface within the stipulated range and thus satisfy the following detailed specification: -

DC input voltage 48V DC Nominal
Output voltage (AC) 230 +/- 5%, V AC
Frequency 50 +/- 0.05% Hz
Continuous power rating 5 KVA
Out put wave shape
Sine wave with less than 5% total harmonic Distortion from 0% to 100% load, 0.8 pf load, or lagg with less than 5% in any harmonic.
Efficiency 90%
Ambient temperature 0 – 50 deg C
Ambient humidity range 90 – 95%
Inbuilt protections to be
  Excess temperature protection provided.
Low battery voltage protection with automatic shutdown.
  Low/High AC output voltage protection.
  Provision of galvanic isolation.
Cooling Natural cooling.
Enclosure construction Sheet metal construction with powder coated painting.
